Tina WeymouthBass player on Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club

Tina Weymouth was born on 22 November 1950 in Coronado. As her husband, Chris Frantz, she comes from a military family and lived across different countries: Hawai, France, Belgique, Switzerland, and both coasts of the U.S.A.

At the age of twelve, Tina played in Mrs. Tuft's English Handbell Ringing Group, in Washington D.C., and she toured the north of the East Coast. It was a band that dressed in antique clothes and sang medieval songs, and old english folk songs.

Tina learned to play bass and with Chris Frantz and David Byrne they formed in 1975 the Talking Heads.

Apart from her career in Talking Heads, Tina is a member of Tom Tom Club, a band that is still active, and also of The Heads (a band formed by all the ex-members of Talking Heads except David)
