Drummer on Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club

Chris Frantz was born on 8 May 1951 in a military family, in Fort Campbell. He started playing the trumpet, but he soon changed to drums.

Chris was in several bands. The first one was called The Lost Chords; another one was The Hustlers, name that was changed later by The Beans. With this band he played in New York, at the Electric Circus.

In 1970 Chris left the group and joined the RISD, whe he would meet later David Byrne, and would create Talking Heads.

Apart from her career in Talking Heads, Chris is a member of Tom Tom Club, a band that is still active, and also of The Heads (a band formed by all the ex-members of Talking Heads except David)
