"True Stories" is also the title of a Talking Heads album, but although very closely related, this album is not the soundtrack from the film. It's Talking Heads playing the songs from the film, played and sung by Talking Heads and not by the actors of the movie.
In my opinion, this album has very high peaks, but also some low valleys. Here we can find some of my favourite songs ever, like the powerful "Love For Sale" and "Wild Wild Life", and the beautiful "Dream Operator". Some of the other songs, though, are a bit weak, like "Puzzlin' Evidence" or "Hey Now". As a curious fact, the band Radiohead took its name after a song included in this album.
There is also an album called "Sounds From True Stories (Music For Activities Freaks)". This time we're talking about the original soundtrack of the movie, where the actors sing the songs. It also contains alternative versions of some of the songs, like "City Of Steel". This album only appeared on vynil and cassette, and contains these tracks:
